- Let’s start from the home page of their webpage www.1and1.com.
- Domain name transfers must be initiated at the ‘New registrars Website’, that is the website for the domain registrar where you want your domain name ‘Transferred to’.
- First of all, you must first ensure that your domain name is ‘Not Locked’, or being prevented from being transferred out of this registry.
- First click on ‘Customer Login’, and then enter ‘Customer ID’ or ‘Domain Name’ and Password in the text boxes. Now click on ‘Login’ button.
- You are now logged in to your 1and1.com account.
- Now click ‘Manage Domains’ link, and then click ‘Transfers’.
- Click ‘Show’ button next to ‘Lock/Unlock Domains’.
- Click domain from the list and click ‘next’ button.
- In the new page, select ‘Unlock’ and click ‘OK’ button.
- That’s it. The lock has been removed from the domain name, so it can now be transferred to another domain registrar.
- You must now go to the website of the domain name registrar you wish to transfer to, and initiate a ‘Domain transfer request’.
- When finished, click the ‘Log-out’ link.
